Qld: Christian lobby enters Qld poll debate

BRISBANE, Feb 24 AAP - Queensland's political lions may be thrown to the Christians.

The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) on Tuesday declared it would take an active role
in the March 21 election.

ACL managing director Jim Wallace said Christians were an important constituency and
were looking to have their concerns addressed in the Queensland poll.

"In a democratic society it is important that Christians take an active role in encouraging
policies which are moral, compassionate and just," Mr Wallace said.
